As an avid COD4 and MW2 player, both me (an adult) and my son both found this game to be unplayable. You move and strafe with the D-Pad, but if you want to aim (like using the right stick on a regular controller) you have to use the stylus. So you have to move and shoot with one hand, the same hand that holds the DS, and then aim with the stylus.
It renders this game pointless and unplayable. Bought it brand new for Christmas–neither me nor my son felt like getting past the training mode.
They should have never put this game out. Horrendous.

The person I bought this for was used to playing on an X box. They tried this game, but I think they ended up trading it in because it was too difficult on the DS.

I have it and love it its the story between modern warfare and modern warfare 2 I think I’m not sure but… one MAJOR problem no perks, awards, ranks,or modern warfare 2-like maps because its more like COD MW2 NOT COD 4!!!!!

Bought this for my 10 year old son, who is a « Call of Duty » addict on the computer. Gave this to him on vacation, and it kept him busy during all of our down time and the plane ride. He didn’t complain about it like he does with some games (its stupid, or its too hard, etc) and it was the only game he played the whole time!

I got this the day it came out, and I beat it in one day, but that is not why I believe it is lacking. To sum it up I am going to go over the pros and cons of the game:
Pros
Gameplay- Enemy AI is extrodinary. They will fire while running, take cover, and much more.Playing through the campaign is fun, and with multiple mission varieties, you can’t stop playing until you beat the game.
Animation- Animation is very smooth for a DS game, but gets a little choppy in some places. Some of the effects will amaze you.
Cons
Storyline- N-space being let off the chain to create their own storyline may seem fresh, but the storyline is nothing more than complete crap.Modern Warfare’s was better, even the though it closely tied in to the console version’s.
Multiplayer and Wi-Fi- Six-person multiplayer is the biggest gimmick to this game, but that’s not why multiplayer is under cons. The maps are small, the match types no different than the other games, and have no sniper rifles.
Weapons- The weapons set is very disappointing for those wishing to have a satisfying handheld experience. There is no create-a-class for multiplayer, and limiting the number of weapons to twenty is liberal. So much for variety. And last time I checked, a M40A3 is not high-caliber.
This concludes my reveiw. If you want to have a DS game that is exciting for only a month or two, well, this game could last until the new call of duty comes out for some people.
